Well this is not surprising whatsoever. Balloon boy's mom confessed the whole thing was a hoax.
Mayumi Heene said she and her husband knew all along that their son Falcon, 6, was not on board the balloon and that the motive for the hoax was to make their family "more marketable for future media interest."
Her husband, Loser.. I mean Richard could also face charges however under the State law, what she swore in the affidavit can not be used against him.
Apparently it took only 2 weeks to build the "UFO" and plan it out. They even instructed their kids to lie to authorities.
This is a family of liars, publicity seeking idiots. The interviews were all scripted..well until the kid blurted out the now famous line..." We did it for the show".
Each adult could now face 4 felony counts as well as huge fines of up to $500,000 . That does not include restitution for the rescue costs.
Even if the family were to file bankruptcy, the restitution is not cleared.. it will haunt them until it's paid.
What a bunch of losers.. and they knew all along that their kid was not hiding, they sat and watched it all on TV smiling away and thinking this was great !
Not so great now , is it RICHARD ?

You thought Toronto ( Ontario ) had strange laws or rulings.. try Quebec.
Under their Provincial law it is illegal to answer the phone if you operate a business.( even if it is your own home business ).
And they have "language cops" who call around and enforce that law.
It is also illegal to have any english signage in your store that is prodominate. The english wording can not exceed 10% of the size of the sign.
Also Under Quebec's controversial language legislation, Bill 101, parents must prove that they, or at least one of their children, have a link to English schooling in Canada before any of their children can attend English language school.
Simply put, if you migrate to Quebec from another country , your kids MUST go to a french school.
A lot of immigrants move to Quebec and shuffle the kids off to Ontario to get some english schooling and then return to Quebec. Then and ONLY then can they go to an english school.
The structure to protect the "French culture" has been killing Quebec moreso than they possibly imagined. Not only did it slow down migration but tourism took a nose dive after the '76 Olympics.

The MOBY concert last night was really good. The crowd of 1400 thoroughly enjoyed the show as well. No security concerns whatsoever.
While I was at the stage left area, the crowd was good..until one person started to take photos with the flash on and started blinding me. When I told her to turn the flash off , she nearly tore my head off.. until I explained the picture will turn out better than with the flash.
One , she'll get better pictures, and two, the flash won't blind me or the band.
I love this part time job.. I hope more shows come up soon too..

I am off to a retirement party ( not mine ) in a few minutes. One of my colleagues is retiring after 16 years here and he will be missed. He is a great man that I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with.
We had some great moments as well.
One of my fondest moments was when we were talking about LETHAL WEAPON 4. There is a moment in the movie where Mel Gibson's character, Martin Riggs, is talking to "Uncle Benny" a ruthless Chinese "businessman".
When asked how the "flied lice" is, Uncle Benny responds that it's FRIED RICE, not flied lice, you plick !( prick ).
Anyway we were talking about that one particular scene and my colleague asked me ( straight faced ) what a plick was. I explained plick is prick... in chinese accent.

Once that is all done, I am off to my buddy's birthday party later this afternoon.
These 3 days off have been just busy...busy ..busy. I have had very little time to myself, which is ok but it would have been great to spend some time at home and catch up in cleaning up and laundry ( need a girlfriend ..joke Ha Ha ). Ok.. that was not as funny as it was in my head.

Enjoy the week end. Talk soon
