If you have GOOGLE EARTH installed on your computer, I am sure you have seen those little red "360" circles. When you click on it, it brings you down to street level and then opens a window to show you a 360 degree view of that particular area.
GOOGLE EARTH has just released some Canadian city shots and now some "experts" ( here we go again ) are concerned that thieves may use it to examine closely someone's house. These experts are basically blaming GOOGLE Earth of providing " invasive home intrusion ".
What are these "experts " talking about? What do they think B&E thieves do before this? They scoped out the areas by walking by, driving by and other means.
There is no way ANYONE can use GOOGLE EARTH to explore residential areas to target homes. They still need to physically go there. They target their crimes based on what they see in person. Besides just because a house looks good to rob, no one knows if they have a dog or an alarm system.
I love how these "experts" claim things they have no clue about. Remember last year when gasoline was over a dollar a liter and these "experts" claimed "We will never see gas lower than a dollar a liter". What is it now? 85 cents or something. Isn't that less than a dollar. Experts? SHUT UP !

Now I particularly like GOOGLE EARTH because if there is a destination you would love to visit, it gives you an idea of what it looks like. If you like what you see, you book it.

HELL'S KITCHEN Season 6 wrapped up last night with a 2 hour finale . The winner , David Levey , will be the executive chef at AROXI restaurant in Whistler ,B.C for a year. His next challenge is to face the bustle of the Winter Games that will be there starting Feb 12, 2010.
I had a notion this guy was going to win it based on his determination. He broke his wrist at the start of the competition and prevailed through tough challenges. During one dinner service, he even out did his male counterparts. .. with one arm in a cast ! Pretty impressive.
I love watching the show. The amount of abuse they take from Chef Ramsay is extraordinary. He yells at them constantly, he insults them ( my favorite line " Come on you stupid fat cow... move your ass, yeah?" ).
Now personally, I am not a bad cook but I would not want him around . I don't think I would be able to take it from him.

I am off to my other job in a few hours. Tonight a band by the name of JET is performing at the EEC . I will be there doing security for the show . I think I have 2 more events to do this month. I really like the job. Wish it was more full time than part time but oh well.. little extra cash never hurt.

An Ontario ( but of course ) truck driver was fined recently $305 for... smoking in his own rig. The truck driver was pulled over and given a ticket when he spotted smoking in his rig. Under the Provincial Law it is illegal to smoke in any "enclosed work area". This includes ..trucks ! However most provincial laws against smoking in public places also state there must be another person present.
So.. this truck driver ,who owns his own rig, works alone. He has no one in his employ.
Fair? No. I don't think so. If he had someone else with him, no problem. I can see that. But the guy was alone. Under Ontario law, it states : "the inside of any place, building, structure or vehicle that is part of the employee's workplace". This includes trucks..
RIDICULOUS ! Who is he endangering? No one but himself.
Mind you.. most laws state that even if it is a home business and you have at least one employee, no smoking rule applies.

I hate these stupid laws. Street hockey is another one of those dumb laws that prohibits kids from playing it. Why? What is the crime here? I don't get it. What is the social impact on playing street hockey?
Did you know it was illegal to fart in a public elevator in Ft Worth Texas? It's true. One fart could cost you $200.
Dragging a dead horse down YONGE Str. in Toronto will also net you a ticket.
Think those are hillarious... the following are transcripts of some 911 calls... must be related to the fine folks who made up these goofy laws:
Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What's the nature of your emergency?
Caller: My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart
Dispatcher: Is this her first child?
Caller: No, you idiot! This is her husband!
A woman in Aloha, Oregon, called 911 because she thought a deputy who had just visited her house on a complaint was good-looking. After her neighbors reported a noise complaint, two sheriff's deputies knocked on Lorna Jeanne Dudash's door. One of them caught her eye. When they left, Dudash dialed 9-1-1 in a desperate attempt to get the deputy she described to dispatchers as “a cutie pie” to return.
She said that she didn't have an emergency; she just wanted the dispatcher to “throw the cute police back her way”. The “cute” deputy returned, and, once he determined there was no legitimate emergency, he arrested Dudash for misusing 9-1-1. She now faces a fine of up to several thousand dollars and up to a year in jail.
Angered that her local McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets, a Florida woman called 911 three times to report the fast food "emergency." Latreasa Goodman, 27, called police to complain that a cashier would not give her a refund. When cops responded to the restaurant, Goodman told them, "This is an emergency. If I had known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one." She was arrested and the Police pressed charges for misusing the 911 system.
Just shows ya , folks.... you're not so dumb after all.
Have a great day!
