EXTRA EXTRA ! SHOE THROWN AT PRESIDENT BUSH !
Now that was quite the event. For those of you who missed it, President Bush was in Baghdad on a surprise visit. During the Press Conference , a reporter stood up and removed his shoe and threw at Bush. When he missed, Bush chuckled slightly. The man then removed his second shoe and tossed it ( missed of course ). The Secret Service were all over the guy. The whole thing took just a few seconds and Bush was joking about it. From what I heard , everyone was double checked and the entire room was secure. I dont know what the guy was thinking.. but he is up shit creek now! What would have been funny is if Bush threw his shoe back at him!!
Speaking of what were you thinking.. Illinois Gov. Blagojavich..sonofabitch..whatever was caught in a huge corruption scandal. He tried to sell, literally, Barack Obama's seat in the Senate to the highest bidder.. something you can not do. Anyway I think the Gov and Donald Trump have the same stylist:
Anyway the good ole Gov is in serious hot water over other scandals and corruption... what was he thinking? Of course eventually you get caught!
Ok... enough of that. There is a new Politically Correct word that is making the rounds and is making me sick to my stomach. When is this shit going to end? Here is the word: "intellectually challenged."
Of course this word is to be used instead of retard.Now before you jump all over me.. definition of retard : cause to move more slowly or operate at a slower rate, one who is slow to learn,relatively slow in mental or emotional or physical development.
But it was deemed demeaning and became, "mentally handicapped." Eventually that became a word of the past and handicapped did not fit so they took that word out and replaced it with "challenged". But someone ,somewhere decided that the MENTALLY was demeaning so they replaced that with INTELLECTUALLY.
What a joke! These poor people have enough problems in their day to day lives and here we are arguing over what to call them. Call them what they are.... PEOPLE ! Who cares if they are slower? Who cares some learn quicker than others! Besides, there is nothing wrong with that word in and of itself. It's the context! Plain and simple.
When are we going to stop insulting everyone with this highly "intellectual " language? All these words sound so much better and it makes us look so smart. Really? Are we really any smarter by talking like that? I think we sound ridiculous! A few years ago, we were told to use the word " divest" when asking people to remove all objects from their pockets. First off, it sounds like digest. Secondly, it sounds dumb to say. Thirdly, most people did not have a clue what we were asking. It was dropped after too many complaints.
The more syllables a euphemistic word has, the more the word is seperated from reality!
Speaking of seperating from reality. All those lovely folks who insist on calling it anything but CHRISTMAS ! Screw You too!
I have no time, no respect for people who insist we use PC terminology. You want to sound stupid, be my guest ! Leave me out!
