I am getting so sick and tired of these people !! Where did they come from? And how is it they are able to go through life?
Of course I am talking about...... STUPIDITY !!!!
Have you noticed that lately? The amount of stupid people walking around? Unbelievable.
The past few nights at work, I have seen more dumb-asses than I care to mention. But several do deserve some recognition.
To the cop who had packed their gear in an Oversized bag but failed to tell us she was a cop ! She had the paper work from the airline completed but did not tell the screening officer she was armed. All she kept saying " Got any questions?". Why yes! yes I do. Why are you a dumb-ass and not mention anything until the RCMP arrived- and even then YOU still do not mention you were a cop until about 5 minutes into the conversation!
DUMB-ASS !
To the "gentleman" who arrived 5 minutes too late to check in on the Red-Eye flight and was adamant I work for the airline and could still check him in. When it finally clued in as to who I was, he was still in denial and wanted me to go get an airline agent. When that failed, he figured if he flopped on the floor and made a "dramatic scene of the year", I would change my mind and get an agent to put the cry-baby on the plane!
To the "lady " last night who brought along her entire house contents in 6 bags and then was shocked her bags were overweight and had to pay more!! TRY CARGO !! Same with these people who fly overseas to the Phillipines with mega boxes of crap!! YIKES !! What are in those bags???
To the guy who got mad at me ( why he got mad at me , I have no idea ) when I confiscated his CO2 cartridges for his BB gun from his checked baggage ! I guess squirrel shooting will have to wait ! But my favorite was his sentence " Ohh so I can bring my BB gun, but not the F*&kin cartridges...that makes sense! ".
Working in an airport, you see some pretty interesting people and things. What lacks in pay certainly makes up for in entertainment. I see so many things that make me laugh. I sometimes wonder with all the things that go on, it's amazing how some people simply function.
The one thing I can not stand though is when someone is talking on one of those BLUETOOTH gizmos. They look ridiculous talking to themselves ! A tap on the ear and yap away!
Another thing that drives me crazy is those stores where the key is to up-sell. Buy a pack of gum and the cashier offers you everything under the sun for you to buy. It's the latest marketing ploy to get people to buy more ! They buy more, they carry more ! As for me. I go in a store, I know what I want and nothing more. So when I buy a paper..please ! That's all I want. I do not want juice, soda, chips, gum, mints, magazine, book, sweatshirt, a card, soup, sandwich, ice cream, fruit-cup, coffee . I JUST WANT WHAT I HAVE ON THE COUNTER !!! THAT'S IT !!

I love how smokers are such a "disgrace". They have their own cute "designated" areas to smoke in and yet .. some follow the law to the T. 5 Meters from any door, window or air intake. That's it ! Now what I do not understand are those who smoke and put the cigarette out on the ground when there is an ashtray a few feet away ! It's right there! USE IT ! Same goes with those Tim Horton cups. If you actually break down the litter, I bet there are more of those cups than there are butts.
I did not know Walmart sells empty Tim Horton Cups. Well they don't . Not really. But I sure do see a lot of them on the shelves.. and yet a garbage can is only a few feet away. Mind you, I think Walmart should buy a few of their own garbage cans and place them through out the store. Not that people will use them but they will know for next time. But then again... maybe not.
As long as there are people like these in the world, it sure brightens my day. I love stupid people. ..but only for my amusement!
