For those of you who read yesterday's blog about "Kathy Evans" on the game show " Who wants to be a Millionaire", I did some investigating on the net looking for the video clip of it. There is none ! Then I stumbled on something that showed me that it was fake. A fellow by the name Ben Spierenburg is the author of this hoax. It seems way back in 2007, Ben created the images by taking screen shots of a BRITISH episode and changing the questions digitally. The name Kathy Evans was made up! But it seemed so genuine that it was too good to be true . It quickly gained popularity and many websites and bloggers ( like myself ) were fooled into thinking it really happened. 

Not to say it has not happened..it has! Just look for it on YOUTUBE. If it isn't there, do a search and you may find out if it is real...or a hoax.

Remember J.D Fortune? He was the fellow who won "ROCKBAND:INXS " and became the frontman for the band. Apparently now that the band just completed an 18 month tour, J.D Fortune made headlines again. This time he is quoted as saying he was let go by the band in Hong Kong Airport. He claimed the band members shook his hand thanked him, and then went on their seperate ways. J.D returned to Canada and is broke. He invested a lot of his money into a solo album.... and a lovely cocaine habit.. While J.D was crying his crocodile tears to the media, in Australia ( the band originates from there ), a rep for the band stated that this was NOT the case at all and as a matter of fact, they were going to extend his contract with the band "In fact he was next on my list to call regarding a very big recording project I am putting together for INXS at present. I guess I have no reason to call him now."

The band's website still features J.D as their singer and if he was indeed fired, the band would have removed him from their site the moment they released him. So it looks like they may end up doing that soon.

So it looks like J.D is either lying to his fans..or he shot his mouth off and quit the band and is just saying stuff to spite the band. Either way, it looks like J.D is out and now wants people to feel sorry for him.. from rags to riches back to rags...

I am on days off .. and it's too damn cold to do anything outside.. looks like another cold snap coming our way! Great! A nice lazy day at home..but I have too many things to do. I need to practice my magic skills for the upcoming show in April. I did some magic the other night in the office.. got a good response so I am happy with that! I still need to work on a few other things and smooth out one particular effect I really like. It involves taking a $20 bill and transforming it into a $1 US. Yet the hands are empty! The fun part is switching it back to the original $20..

And I need to go online and POSSIBLY look for a new car. My car now has 230,000 km on it and it's 12 years old. Still in great shape too. I am looking at JEEPs. They have a great style and comfort. I have to calculate how much I can afford as well as the insurance! Ohh the joys of car shopping!
