Just doing some blog-hopping before getting my supper on the go. Hope you've been having a nice weekend.
What an awesome game yesterday. SUPERBOWL 43 has to be one game for the being one of the best endings. The Cardinals were up 3 points with only 2 minutes left in the game ! The Cardinals were in possession of the ball when QB Kurt Warner was about to throw the ball when he got sacked down to the ground. Now the rule book states " If the Quarterback is in or commencing a throwing motion, and is sacked, loses control of the ball, the play shall be ruled as an incompletion." The official called it fumble, thus the Steelers have the ball.( This was an unjustified call.. as you can see Warner's arm stretched back, ready to throw...an online poll shows (as of now ) 56% agreed ) . From there.. the game went south as the Steelers gained another 7 points and won the game 27-23 !
And so the Pittsburgh Steelers are the SUPERBOWL Champions for the 6th time in history ! They played a great game !
The half time show was by Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen and the E Street band! Another incredible half time show. Bruce not only rocked the arena..but everyone at home! He was having a lot of fun.. specially when he was singing " Tenth Avenue Freeze Out " and slid across the stage..right into a cameraman! Priceless !
I am sure this is a game to remember.. one other thing that was different this year was I got to see the AMERICAN commercials. I tuned to NBCHD Detroit and got to see these amazing commercials..and they were funny ! They simply are the best commercials you will see. It is so unfortunate that Canadians can not see them during the game ( some not at all ). So after 20 some odd years, I can watch the game without the Canadian crap all over the screen ( superimposing the PRIMUS blimp was too obvious ).
So I decided to try again and order a Cardinals Jersey.. 7 sites! None ship to Canada!! WTF?? What is wrong with us Canadians that we can not order a product from the U.S !! Even the Arizona Cardinals Official Shop can not ship to Canada ! What a crock ! And yes even though they lost, I still want a Jersey!
Ok.. One last thing before I go. I found out this morning that one of our employees from a few years ago, died on the weekend after battling cancer.. God Bless you, Stan!
